Our commitment

Marc Preston Consulting is committed to making marcprestonconsulting.com usable by everyone, including people with disabilities. We want every visitor to be able to learn about our coaching and consulting services, read our articles, listen to our content, book a session and get in touch with us.

Standard we follow

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people who are blind or have low vision, are deaf or hard of hearing, or have motor, cognitive or speech disabilities.

Current status

marcprestonconsulting.com partially conforms to WCAG 2.2 Level AA. This means some parts of the site do not yet fully meet the standard. They are listed under “Known limitations” below.

What we’ve done

In November 2026 we tested every public page of the site and fixed the issues we found. This work included:

  • Adding text descriptions (alt text) to every image in our media library.
  • Darkening our blue brand color and other text, button, heading, form and background colors so they meet contrast requirements.
  • Adding a main heading to the home page.
  • Underlining links that appear inside text so they don’t rely on color alone.
  • Removing empty links and enlarging the table-of-contents links on our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service pages.
  • Giving embedded players a descriptive title for screen reader users.
  • Enlarging small controls, such as slideshow dots, so they are easier to tap.

Known limitations

Despite our efforts, some content may not be fully accessible yet:

  • Online booking. The sign-in boxes and service pictures on our Scheduling page come from an outside booking tool and are not yet correctly labeled or described for screen readers. If you have trouble booking, email us and we will book your session for you.
  • Events calendar. The search filters (category, location, organizer, speaker and month) on our Upcoming Events page come from an outside calendar tool and are not yet correctly labeled for screen readers. Each event is still listed on the page, and we are happy to send event details by email.
  • Embedded media. Videos, audio demos and podcast players embedded from outside services rely on those services for captions, transcripts and keyboard support. Some videos and audio demos do not have transcripts yet; we can provide them on request.
  • Third-party services. Our shop checkout and payment providers are run by outside companies and may not fully meet the standard.

If any of this gets in your way, please contact us and we will provide the information another way.

Technologies used

The accessibility of this site relies on HTML, CSS, JavaScript and WAI-ARIA working with your web browser and any assistive technologies or plugins installed on your computer.

How we test

We test every public page with automated accessibility checking tools (axe-core), and we review the results by hand to confirm each fix. We review the site at least once a year and after major changes.
